Vegas Party

New Stylelife Mission:

If you missed the Las Vegas Stylelife Party…

Feel bad about yourself. You missed quite an experience.

The Excalibur and Dinner Part I:

My girlfriend and I arrived in at the wonderful Excalibur hotel in Las Vegas around 6PM. The Excalibur is a great place for anyone who likes castles, dragons, knights and not spending a huge amount of money on a hotel. If you were dreaming that the Excalibur hotel was a giant multi-billion dollar renaissance fair, you, like me, were horribly mistaken. It’s a huge hotel and casino! Who knew!

Anyways…

The Queen (My Girlfriend's new PU name) had scored us some free steak dinners at the “Sherwood Forest Café.” We ate exactly 1/8th of the steaks before realizing that they were horrible. Robin Hood was nowhere to be seen...

Fake Venice and Dinner Part II:

After getting lost in the canals of fake Venice we arrived at Tao pronounced ("d-ow" not "t-ow"). The most out of place night club in the history of nightclubs. It is a Taoist night club in the middle of a Venetian themed hotel. Why not a Venetian themed night club in a Venetian themed hotel? Because it's Vegas, and no one cares but me!

Regardless of the inconsistency, the place was impressive. The club has three floors: Tao bistro, Tao nightclub and Tao beach. There were giant statues, tons of candles, fountains, and calligraphy. It was a seductive and exciting atmosphere.

Neil arrived with his entourage of beautiful women. We explored the gorgeous bistro for a while until we were notified that our table was ready. It was glorious. They gave us a table in the back where we were treated to everything on the menu and a bottomless glass of whatever we wanted. Easily, the greatest dinner of my life.

I was sitting next Sin. Apparently, we have a lot in common: Kung-fu, Pick-up, Goths, Philosophy, Role-playing games and Astrology. A very cool guy.

After all the delicious appetizers and entrees were eaten, they brought out the dessert. What I found most interesting was the way that all the women attacked this huge fortune cookie filled with chocolate mousse.

My girlfriend looked at the chocolate in a way that she had never looked at me before. I was jealous, and wished that I too was made of delicious chocolate and crisp wafer cookie.

The Party:

The Tao night club was packed with Stylelifers and go-go dancers. It was an awesome night. You should have been there. Check the field report section for upcoming stories from your favorite SLA students.

Neil had a table in the center of the club surrounded by SLA students and beautiful women. Most of the guys had either brought women or met them there at the hotel earlier. Bolshevik had come from Hollywood for the night and as expected, was surrounded by girls by the end of the night. (Not that his night ever ended.) One guy, who I believe was an SLA guy, was making out with a go-go dancer, I hope I see an field report about that one! I specifically noticed his body language, he had his drink held down to the side and manage to lean back the whole time. Good stuff. The club closed at 3pm, but the party went on all night.

The Book Signing:

There were a ton of people at the book signing. It was crazy.

Neil read some very strange letters that he had received after writing The Game and told some hilarious stories. The letters ranged from death threats to semen stain removal.

It looked like a bible convention. Everyone in the store had a gold trimmed book with a little red book mark hanging out. There were also quite a few attractive women at the signing to meet Neil.

Bolshevik appeared after having been awake for 48 hours.

One student was running around with a copy of "The Antichrist" by Frederick Nietzsche. One of my favorite books. I spoke with him for quite a while about philosophy, among other things

book signing

Props to the SLA Las Vegas lair for attending.

Sin, Neil and I stayed around for quite a while listening to some awesome success stories and answering questions. Thanks to everyone there. It was a great time.
