Hi guys, advice please.
Tell me every little detail you would change.

Hi, are you Japanese, Spanish, Italian...? Great.
You know, I am studying Japanese.
Ive only got a minute but I need your help with the language.
Ive got a speaking test coming along and need someone to practice.
So can you explain me Japanese grammar?
Can I practice with you for 5 minutes?
(Dont wait for answer) Great.
So to be honest, I dont like Japanese very much but my mum told me I have to study it.
Why do you have such a complicated language? Please justify yourself.
(Dont wait for answer)
You know, for me there is nothing more exciting than talking about grammar. All those little particles, I just get so excited about them. They are sexy arent they?
You get excited about grammar, too? (Dont wait for answer). Thats great.

By the way, I am walking down to the cathedral down the street? Have you seen it already?
You could come along for 5 minutes but only if you are good teacher. I am very demanding you know.

Variations:

Hi are you Japanese? Great. I am studying Japanese and I need your help. Is it ok just for a second? It wont take long. Oh good.
The thing is, I am sooo excited about the language, culture, its such a great country, but in class we dont learn real Japanese.
So I need you to teach me some real street slang please.
So for example, if I wanna pick up Japanese girls on the street, what would be good expressions to use? No, please dont laugh. I am serious. This is important. For example now. Lets say you were Japanese, and I wanted to pick you up. What would be good to say?

What if she is Chinese?
Oh you are Chinese? Thats even better. I need your help with Chinese. I am total beginner. But I so much want to learn it...

What if the hot babe is my own nationality?
Hi I am a poor foreigner. I need your help. Just a second. I want to date girls here. Not you, mind you. My mum would not allow me to date you. What should you say to a girl in your country.

Hi, excuse me, I am looking for a clothes store around here. My mum is coming over and I have to take her to a nice restaurant. I hate nice restaurants. I am always going to McDonalds but where can I find a nice store?

Hi excuse me, I am looking for a cinema. My mum is coming over and I have to take her to the movies. What would be a good film where you could go with your mum?

Hi excuse me, my girlfriend told me my outfit is not cool, and I should get a new one. I just need a second opinion. Is it true? Its not true is it?

listen, you don't need such an action packed opener, just getting into a conversation is all you need...

for instance, "[Excuse me,] Hi! are you italian/french/japanese? I got a question, can you tell me why it is such a complicated language? it's so fast/difficult to pronounce/etc."
(the excuse me, hi, and I got a question, are softners to get her ready for a conversation, so it's not just abrupt)

and just follow with whatever you would tell a friend of yours if you happened to meet him in the street...

I think if you practiced a bit you'll see you don't need anything complicated.. not to mention, it's a lot about the girl as well, some like to talk, some don't... the ones that don't aren't much fun anyway :-)

BTW, please please leave your mum out of it.

good luck, hope I helped
