If she reacts negatively or doesnt get it, you could impersonate Yoda repeat the move with the hand and say:
"Talk to me, you must."

If she still reacts negatively or still doesnt get it, look angry and say:

"Well, I gonna sue Lucasfilms for this...."

Well, over here in Germany its not so geeky to be a SW-fan.
Must be an US thing...

If you impersonate Yoda, the trick is to do it really good.
Learnig to impersonate voices is helpfull in general.
This way you can always use it in a funny conversation when you got your hook on her.

I read this one website, they they talked about using the Jedi-mindtrick on cops when they pulled you over.

When a cop comes up to your car and asks to see your drivers license, wave your hand and say "you dont need to see his identification."

The cop will ask again then say "these arent the droids your looking for, you can go about your business. Move along"

I am sure no one will do this, but it would be funny as hell.
