So, I went on a date tonight for the first time in over three and a half years!
It went well, and I totally got out of my own head for pretty much the whole date. It started off at a little pasta shop (cheap, but good food) and we sat and talked for about an hour. I know that I am a good conversationalist once I get comfortable, and then I can get cocky if im really comfortable witha girl. That is when my true colors shine! I negged her once, by asking if anyone ever told her she has a "cut little mouse nose." She got soo self concious, and hid her nose from me. Then she proceded to say that her nose is a little crooked, and she wouldn't show me.
That was whn we started our walk on the main street. We had a lot in commmon, and I could tell that she really dug me. She continued all the conversations, rubbed up against me as we walked, and was genuinly interested. Problem is, that I was starting to get bored with her. She was friendly, and very cute, and for the most part my type. Mabye, she will be a little more fun on our next date.
I noticed a couple IOI's her grabbing my are, when i wanted to leave the coffee shop (she had said that she didn't want coffee) but obviously she didn't want to leave eaither. I caught her staring into my eyes. She was also speaking to me using her hands, palms open, with is a sign of openness. We never held hands, but we did hug goodbye twice. We are going to go out on a second date for sure.
I found my self analyzing(SP?) the date as it progressed, trying to remember what to, and not to do. We thumb wrestled, and i told her not to cheat, then I cheated and gloated (thanks to the guys last night for the advice)! I had a nice time. At the end, we were on the street in front of her car, and I didn't feel like it was the proper place or time for a kiss close, so I didn't attempt. On the second date I have a feeling it will be more appropriate. I will take any advice, suggestions(sp?) or help.
P.S. im going on a blind date on monday, I will fill ya'll in on that on tuesday.
